MY FIRST ART SHOW

On Thursday June 4th I had my first solo art show at Bricolage in downtown Boise. It was a huge success. Tons of people came, I had a ton of fun.

It took me 3 nights to set up for the show which included painting a wall and screen printing the walls and floor. I had my friend John Shinn come and photograph the show and document the set up.

It was so much work but it was so rewarding.

Thank you to Chelsea Snow and Bricolage for having me. Thanks to John Shinn for the photos, and Hyrum Haeberle for the assistance in printing.

The art show is part research / part introduction to a bigger project that I have coming up. I am making a cookbook of the foods that people eat when they are drunk. Its disgusting and funny and everyone really had a great time reading the recipes. People also had the opportunity to fill out blank cards and contribute their own recipes for the book.

I can't wait to make the book now! Its going to be great.

Showing the recipes and this idea was really difficult to figure out. It took months of trying new things and figuring out the best way to present the material. I think it turned out wonderful.

Enjoy!

xoxo
